Come preparare

1
Heat the oven to 200°C. Butter a 23 cm by 33 cm baking dish with 15 g of the butter and set it aside.
2
Place the potatoes in a large pot, cover with cold salted water, and boil for 15 to 18 minutes, until a knife slides through the centers without resistance.
3
Drain the potatoes thoroughly, return them to the warm pot, and mash with 30 g of the butter and the warm milk until smooth. Season with 4 g salt and 1 g pepper, then keep warm.
4
While the potatoes cook, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the remaining 15 g butter and the onion, then sauté for 5 to 6 minutes until softened and lightly golden.
5
Add the ground beef and cook for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking it into small crumbles, until no pink remains and the beef reaches 74°C. Drain excess fat if needed.
6
Stir in the beef broth, tomato paste, 4 g salt, and the remaining 1 g pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is moist but not soupy.
7
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Scatter the corn over it in an even layer, then spoon the mashed potatoes on top and smooth them gently without compressing the layers.

Dot the potato surface with the remaining butter and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the top is golden. Rest for 10 minutes before serving so the layers settle.

Perché questa ricetta funziona

The three distinct layers are simple but deliberate: seasoned beef provides savory depth, corn adds sweetness and moisture, and buttery potatoes form a creamy topping that browns beautifully in the oven.
